So Far so good

We are in the middle of week 2 of homeschooling and so far so good! It really amazes me my sons levels are so low. What have they been doing for 3 yrs of public school??? My son is not by far slow either. He picks up on things very easily, it is just getting him to sit and do his work. All of which we can accomplish in about 2 hours. Right now I have him doing Math, Science, Language Arts, Spelling and of course Reading. He is doing really good and I think the biggest challenge is me adjusting to having no “time off”. Hopefully it will continue on this route!

Time4Learning

As we all know, I have ventured into homeschooling my son. He is currently in 1st grade so that is the level I started him at using Time4Learning online system. I signed up for a 14 day free trial since I am new to homeschooling and I have to say I love this site! I started my son this morning on language arts and the assignments are extremely well prepared. He had fun with them but was learning at the same time! I did find when he was done that he didn’t do real great with the overall assignment as he only got 29% (you can look at how long your child stays on an activity as well as the percentage of what they got right in Student Reports). After seeing this I decided that maybe his level was too high and we should start at the basics and work our way up. This was so easy to do as you can move each subject level to whatever grade level you wish! I absolutely love this system and highly recommend it to all my readers! For more information on this site simply gohere and sign up for the 14 day free trial and let your children have fun learning!
