My boyfriend and I recently just took over the apartment we are in and I am in the process of cleaning and organizing everything. Well, I took on the kitchen first (horror music plays here =p). The cabinets were the first thing I tackled. First, cleaning them out and wiping them down. Then, they had this awful green contact paper in there, so I replaced that with a “wood” contact paper, that just seems to blend right into the cabinet.
After cleaning I labeled and organized my jars. I had gotten a box of Mason Jars at Kmart for $12 and then at the grocery store they had these awesome little freezer jars on 50% clearance for 5 for $1.50. So, I actually made out nicely! The labels I used were from staples from the Martha Stewart collection and those were just under $2. I still have a ways to go but this is a start and I am happy with the results!

CRAFTY!!!!
What do you do when you are bored? That’s right, Create! So, I was cleaning up my craft supplies and I had this plastic soda carrier thing that has been just sitting there. I thought that could hold our books very nicely but they are sooo ugly lol. So, I went on a hunt what I could use to cover it, since I don’t have any fabric laying around. I found my old laundry bag that I never use anymore and used that. The bottom of the laundry bag I cut an put on the inside of the crate to make it a little prettier. The first pic is the crate I had except mine was blue. Then the finished product =)
Organizing my boys room!
So, I have taken on the challenge to organize my boys room (horror music plays here) and this is just the beginning but I like how it is coming out. I got the bins from the dollar store and those letters. The letters are actually magnetic ones but I hot glued them on. I will be purchasing a new shelf and adding some more storage but so far so good!!! I wanted to stick with bright colors: red, green, blue and yellows.
